From neighbors to friends

While swimming in June, Chrissy told Ashley that eventually she and Dennis were looking at buying a condo. She remarked that Dennis has started dragging his feet about it, however. When Ashley asked why, Chrissy said, “Oh, I asked him if it was because of you guys, and he admitted that it was. He said, 'I don’t want to leave when we finally have friends near us. And now they have all these events and stuff, and we actually know our neighbors.' And I have to be honest, this is the first time we’ve been able to meet anyone else that lives here, even outside of you guys. So, yeah, we probably won’t move for awhile now.”

It's not the events that we facilitate, how we connect with residents through social media, or even the welcome gifts we bring to each of the new residents that makes Community Life so valuable. Its through the special moments we share with our neighbors that creates a bond not only with the place we call home but with the people that feel like home. Community Life creates a culture of warmth and sincerity which turns neighbors into friends.
